Ladies and Gentlemen

Feminism is a response to machismo which has been dominant along History, has looked for women reivindication rights in law because they have suffered centuries of cultural ways of only being devoted mother and wife. The voting right was achieved gradually since the final of XIX century - New Zealand in 1893 - not as a concession or gift to women, it was a long fight started for pioneers in some fields like politics, business, universitary, work, other. For example, during the XX century, the female vote was approved in Uruguay in 1927 and Venezuela in 1946. 

Women hardly could choose how her destiny would be, think of themselves in order to go on with their closeness group. During the two world war, women had to get into the work market to fill the vacancies left because men were enrolled to fight in the battle front. At the end of II World War, women can incorporate in the work market, defeating obstacles, having double shifts (in her jobs and at home). Conciliating the challenges of having a familiar and work life is so complex. Machismo has been defended by some women and men, however many countries had made reforms in that point, benefiting maternity and reducing the wage gap between men and women with the same job responsabilities.

What does it happen if women get more benefits before law than men? It would be in inequality in the opposite sense, so that it's necessary to balance law in order to protect everybody and not an specific gender because human being has to be equal in law. There's a habit to apply machismo in social relations which can obviate respect for the female gender (harrasment, sexual, physical and psychological abuse), also it can happen in the opposite way.

The idea is not promoting sterile discussions, but the genders must have a reflexive debate about respect between them. In friendship, couple and work relations, men and women have to be aware how to colaborating in fairness, respect and empathy.
